Meet the Downtown Reno Partnership

We’ve assembled a great team of community influencers to manage the Downtown Reno Partnership. Our executive director has more than 20 years experience in the nonprofit city and business industry. Our operations manager is a champion for marginalized communities. Our marketing manager has more than 15 years experience in multimedia, management and journalism. And our office manager has more than 20 years experience in managing offices and people.

Together, these four leaders will shift the culture of Reno, starting with downtown. They will make small improvements every day to inspire a sense of pride in residents and visitors.

Alex Stettinski
Alex StettinskiExecutive Director
Alex is the leader of the Downtown Reno Partnership and is charged with managing that staff, creating partnerships and fundraising. He will also become the face of downtown Reno with plans to encourage new businesses to enter the core.

Alex previously served as executive director of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce from 2011 to 2015 and was Vice President of Operations & Strategic Planning at Visit West Hollywood from 2015 to 2016, among other consulting and marketing work in the greater Los Angeles area. He originally started at The Avenues of Art & Design BID in West Hollywood in 2001.

Nathan Digangi
Nathan DigangiEconomic Development Manager
Nathan works alongside Alex to bring new business and development leads to downtown Reno. They will work with existing economic development teams at EDAWN and the City of Reno to coordinate larger efforts for big businesses and developers. Nathan tracks important demographic and economic data specifically for the downtown area.

Nathan previously ran a web services company and is an expert in digital technology and online systems. He was the lead organizer for 1 Million Cups Reno and co-organizer for Startup Weekend Reno and Ignite Reno. He is an EDAWN Entrepreneur Advisory Board member. For his volunteer work as an ecosystem builder in the startup community for five years, Nathan was awarded the Startup Champion of the Year in 2019 by EDAWN and NCET.

Mike Higdon
Mike HigdonMarketing Manager
Mike will be coordinating media outreach and creating marketing strategies, events and content to draw people into the downtown Reno area and businesses.

Mike comes to the Downtown Reno Partnership after serving as the city life reporter at the Reno Gazette Journal for more than three years, where he covered Midtown and downtown urban life.

Grant Denton
Grant DentonOperations Manager
Grant leads the Downtown Reno Partnership ambassadors program through Streetplus.

Grant was previously a peer recovery specialist and program developer at The Life Change Center, a local nonprofit that offers recovery services for heroin and prescription drug abuse. Grant also started the Karma Box community initiative, a give-and-take box that helps people who need toiletries, non-perishable food and water. He also founded Rise and Grind, a fitness program for women in recovery. He most recently worked for the Volunteers of America as an outreach supervisor.

Tanya Polli
Tanya PolliOffice Manager
Tanya runs the day-to-day operations of the Downtown Reno Partnership and is also the secretary for the board of directors.

Tanya worked for decades as a human resources manager and later as an executive assistant in the tech and medical industries. She most recently worked as the executive assistant for the former COO of Renown Health and CEO of Northern Nevada Medical Center before that.
