DESCRIPTION:Join the City of Reno on Wednesday\, Aug. 12\, from 8 to 8:30 a.m. for the America 250 Courthouse Salute at the historic Washoe County Courthouse. This special ceremony is part of the nationwide commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary.\nThe event will celebrate our nation’s history\, honor the generations who have shaped our community and recognize the City employees and public safety personnel who proudly serve the Biggest Little City every day.\nThe program will feature:• The Pledge of Allegiance• A patriotic musical performance• Remarks from Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve• An Air National Guard flyover• Participation from the Reno Police Department\, Reno Fire Department and the City’s Maintenance and Operations team\nThe ceremony will take place at the Second Judicial District Court\, 75 Court St.\, Reno\, NV. The event is open to the public and media partners. Community members\, veterans\, families and visitors are encouraged to attend as we honor our nation’s past and celebrate those who continue to serve our community today.
