It is unlawful for any person to walk a dog on public property or upon the private property of another without carrying at all times a suitable container or other suitable instrument for the removal and disposal of dog feces. Washoe County Code 55.130
- There are 200 chute-style trash cans in Downtown Reno with additional trash cans along the Riverwalk and in City of Reno Parks.
- The City of Reno has installed a number of waste bag holders throughout Downtown Reno.
