Transportation In Downtown Reno

If you are curious about alternative ways of getting around Downtown Reno, you’ve come to the right place. Get cozy with a pedicab, hop on a scooter and zoom over to your favorite cafe. Rent a kayak or a bike, enjoy our expansive trails, or ride share your way to tonight’s show. Downtown Reno offers several methods of transportation.

If you’re looking to take the bus Downtown, RTC provides us with the Rapid Viriginia Line. This route serves the areas from Meadowood Mall, to Downtown Reno/UNR. The Rapid Virginia Line runs from 6am – 1am, with buses coming through approximately every 10 minutes. Visit the RTC website for more information on fares, schedules and maps.

Say goodbye to the hassle of finding parking with the convenience of rideshare services such as Lyft and Uber! Whether you’re heading to work, meeting up with friends, or are new to the city. At the touch of your smartphone, you can enjoy a stress-free journey through Downtown Reno.

In 2022 the City of Reno launched an e-scooter share option with Bird in Downtown and Midtown. We believe everyone should have access to safe, sustainable and affordable transportation.

Must be 18 years or older to ride. Ride in bike lanes or close to the right curb, unless in an area where sidewalk riding is allowed. Use of a helmet is encouraged. You can obtain a helmet from the Nevada Department of Transportation and Bird.
