Brüka Theatre proudly presents an original theatre for children production of “THE PARAMOUNT & SOMETIMES WILDLY RIDICULOUS HISTORY OF NEVADA.” comes back to Bruka Theatre by popular demand – celebrating Nevada Day with a public performance held at The Brüka Theatre in Reno on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2 PM Tickets are $7 for ages 12 years old and under and $12 for General Admission.
Written toward a youth perspective, the mysteries and histories of Nevada’s wild west are explored in a fast paced sequence of stories, characters and events that connect the audience to Nevada’s historical past. Appropriate for the whole family, Brüka brings different styles of accessible original theatre and participation into the community so that a wide range of audiences are exposed to a deeper understanding of the story and theatrical presentations.
Brüka Theatre has been presenting live theatre in our community for 32 years. This touring production features professional actors bringing the story to life with a small set of props and costumes, incorporating physical theatrics, improvisation, and audience interaction. Select children are invited to participate in the creation of each performance, ensuring that every show is unique. Funny and insightful, this theatre troupe features top-notch performers and writers who consistently involve young people in learning and participating in theatre and related arts.
Brüka brings a variety of theatrical styles and participation in the live theatre for children performances to expose young audiences to an entertaining and deeper understanding of theatrical presentations with links to the curriculum.
Brüka Theatre partners with Pioneer Youth Programs and different venues when touring to schools and communities. Brüka Theatre is also available for private and school tours for the show.

Our box office is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4 pm -6 pm in October, 2024. PARKING – Court Street parking lot across from The Pioneer Theater. FREE after 5:00 PM on weekdays and NO CHARGE on weekends. We validate 5-hour parking at the Parking Gallery on First and Sierra Street. Fee is $1 for the first 5 hours and $3 for every additional hour.
ABOUT BRÜKA THEATRE – Brüka Theatre celebrates its 32nd season of live theatre in downtown Reno – Transcendence is the theme for the 2024/2025 season. As an artistic leader in the region, Brüka is recognized for innovative productions, exceptionally talented artists and an acclaimed Theatre for Children touring series since its founding in 1992. Central to Brüka is the commitment to the re-investigation of contemporary and classic plays and developing new plays within Brüka’s Artistic Collective, a group that includes winners of the Nevada Arts Council and Sierra Arts Foundation artist grants and nine local best actor honors.
