In its 33rd season, Brüka Theatre proudly presents an original theatre for children production of The Sporkles League. Named for the spoon/fork variety utensil in lunchrooms, this kooky group of problem solvers is in a league of their own as they focus their talents on values and creating community. Our original Brüka Theatre For Children productions integrate theatre, history, science and social studies and tour throughout Nevada as part of The Pioneer Youth Program Roster. An Original Brüka Theatre for Children Production created by Mary Bennett. Featuring David Simpson, Jessey Richards, Riley McKinney & Kristina Worthley.
Written toward a youth perspective, problem solving, authenticity, and showing up for others are highlighted in a fast-paced sequence of stories, characters and events that connect the audience to values and community. Appropriate for the whole family, Brüka brings different styles of accessible original theatre and participation into the community so that a wide range of audiences are exposed to a deeper understanding of the story and theatrical presentations.
Brüka Theatre has been presenting live theatre in our community for 33 years. This touring production features professional actors bringing the story to life with a small set of props and costumes, incorporating physical theatrics, improvisation, and audience interaction. Select children are invited to participate in the creation of each performance, ensuring that every show is unique. Funny and insightful, this theatre troupe features top-notch performers and writers who consistently involve young people in learning and participating in theatre and related arts.
Brüka brings a variety of theatrical styles and participation in the live theatre for children performances to expose young audiences to an entertaining and deeper understanding of theatrical presentations with links to the curriculum.
Brüka Theatre partners with Pioneer Youth Programs and different venues when touring to schools and communities. Brüka Theatre is also available for private and school tours for the show.
