We’re excited to invite you to a special event that celebrates the powerful connection between music, motion, and the Parkinson’s community! Dr. Deanna Brown Thomas, daughter of the legendary “Godfather of Soul” James Brown, returns to Reno for the second year as part of Drive Toward a Cure’s “Music & Motion” fundraising event. On Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm, join us at the National Automobile Museum for an inspiring day dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Parkinson’s care.
Dr. Brown Thomas will deliver a keynote address and participate in a Q&A session, highlighting the role of music and movement in improving the lives of those living with Parkinson’s disease. As the president of the James Brown Family Foundation, she continues to promote music education and support for those in need, following in her father’s humanitarian footsteps.
This event will also feature a range of exciting activities, including a stunning Show and Shine car show, Rock Steady Boxing demonstrations, live painting by automotive artist Kelly Telfer, food trucks, tastings, and more! Your participation will help support the Parkinson Support Center of Northern Nevada, which provides vital resources for over 5,000 individuals living with Parkinson’s in the High Sierra Region.
Don’t miss out on this inspiring and fun-filled day!
Tickets are only $20 for adults and $10 for children (ages 6-16). All proceeds go directly to Parkinson’s research and patient care.
