Emily Skyle-Golden joined the DRP board as a residential representative in June of 2025. A former news anchor and television personality, Emily Skyle‑Golden now works behind the scenes as an award-winning writer, director, and producer. A proud downtown Reno resident for over a decade, she founded the Cordillera International Film Festival—ranked in the top 1% of festivals worldwide—and the Film Northern Nevada Initiative, which has supported productions in the region for Paramount+, TUBI, Warner Bros., Disney+, Amazon, and more. Through her nonprofit, the Future Filmmakers Foundation, Emily mentors underrepresented youth in the art and business of filmmaking.
