THE ROW hosts a cornucopia of Thanksgiving food and activities for families in downtown Reno

This Thanksgiving, escape to Eldorado, Circus Circus and Silver Legacy at THE ROW to treat your family to a holiday where the options are endless. Distinctive dinners designed by The Family Gourmet, Chef Ivano Centemeri, range from traditional favorites to spins on the classics. THE ROW will also launch its star-studded shows that are sure to get you in the magical holiday spirit and the all-new Rink at THE ROW.

Chef Ivano, along with his team of experienced chefs, have designed several menus that elevate the traditional Thanksgiving meal with creations like a roasted breast of duck risotto with foie gras at La Strada and sweet potato soup with honey truffle sweet potato waffle fries at Roxy.

Eldorado Dining

For a casual celebration, The Buffet at the Eldorado will prepare a bountiful, all-you-can-eat feast where traditionalists and gourmands will find exactly what they’re craving. The carving station will feature classics like maple glazed ham, mint pesto crusted leg of lamb and roasted prime rib of beef au jus.

Guests will also find favorites like peel and eat shrimp and chilled crab legs plus tasty entrées like pumpkin ravioli with cranberry, pecan and sage cream, orange and cranberry glazed pork loin, grilled New York steak with green peppercorn cream and the famed mushroom ravioli with porcini cream sauce.

Thanksgiving dinner trimmings like buttermilk mashed potatoes, glazed sweet potatoes with toasted marshmallows and traditional stuffing will bring the customary Turkey Day feel to the buffet line. Homemade desserts courtesy of the Eldorado Bakery will round out the meal with assorted pastries, cakes and pies including pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice cheesecake, chocolate cream pie, a variety of house made gelato and warm bread pudding with whiskey sauce.

All these buffet items are available Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. for $42.99 for adults and $20.99 for children ages ten and under; ONE Club Chairman & President for $37.99, Gold $38.99 and Silver $39.99.

An unforgettable experience awaits at Roxy, where in addition to the regular menu, a special three-course Thanksgiving dinner will be served beginning with the choice of a fall Salad with butter lettuce, orange segments, pistachios, romano cheese and cranberry vinaigrette or sweet potato soup with honey truffle sweet potato waffle fries and spiced crème fraiche. The entree is a roasted Diestel turkey with Fall stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, marshmallow roasted yams, gravy and Brussels sprouts. For dessert, an elegant pumpkin cheesecake with a spiced graham cracker crust, caramelized butter squash, frosted pecans and maple syrup.

Dinner is served starting at 3 p.m. and is $48 per person.

Chef Massimo Riggio adds his signature Italian flair to Thanksgiving at La Strada for $48 per person starting at 3 p.m.  The meal begins with a choice of a fall salad with grilled Belgium endive, radicchio, gorgonzola dressing, Asian pears and toasted walnuts or cream of potato and chestnuts with Piave cheese and rosemary bread crumbles. For the entrée, diners will have two choices, one of which is the La Strada’s own take on a turkey dinner with herb crusted roasted leg of turkey, cranberry sauce, smashed sweet potatoes, stuffed turkey breast and roasting jus or a risotto with parmigiana, foie gras, roasted breast of duck and preserved cherries. For dolce, or dessert, an Italian classic, Zuppa Inglese, sponge cake layered with pastry cream, Alkermes liquor, chocolate cream and Italian meringue. 

The Brew Brothers opens its doors this Thanksgiving at 11 a.m. with a three-course meal for $23 which includes a house garden salad or fresh soup of the day, herb roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stout apple stuffing, fall vegetable medley and choice of pumpkin, apple or pecan pie.

Millies will also serve a Thanksgiving dinner for $23 from 11 a.m. which includes choice of soup of the day or house garden salad, roasted turkey with cornbread stuffing, candied yams, green beans, cranberry relish and choice of pumpkin, apple or pecan pie for dessert.

Silver Legacy Dining

Café Central, which offers casual dining in an open atmosphere will serve a prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner, beginning at 11 a.m. The meal begins with a choice of pumpkin and butternut squash bisque or seasonal field greens. For the entrée, a choice of roasted turkey with apple sage dressing, creamy mashed potatoes, turkey giblet gravy, candied sweet potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables or sweet honey glazed ham with pineapple-cranberry compote, apple sage dressing, candied sweet potatoes and a honey-maple glaze. The meal will be conclude with a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie for $23.

Burn off some of those turkey calories by checking out THE ROW’s newest attraction, Rink at THE ROW, a 9,000-square-foot ice skating rink surrounded by the vibrant lights of the Eldorado, Circus Circus and Silver Legacy. The Rink will be open daily starting Nov. 18. 

On Friday, Nov. 29, Rodney Carrington, a staple to the top comedy charts and one of the top ten highest grossing touring comedians for the last decade, will return to Silver Legacy for a night of laughs. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at SilverLegacy.com.

At the Laugh Factory Comedy Club at the Silver Legacy, Chris Newberg, who has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “America’s Got Talent” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” will perform nightly, Nov. 26 – Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. with additional performances on Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at SilverLegacy.com.
