Christmas feasts and festivities at THE ROW
While ‘tis always the season for gourmet dining and epic entertainment at THE ROW – this Christmas, the Eldorado, Circus Circus and Silver Legacy invite you to experience a holiday like no other. With extravagant holiday meals, an extravagant Christmas show and Rink at THE ROW, The City Within a City is where you’ll want to plan to be on December 25.
For a casual celebration, The Buffet at the Eldorado prepares a bountiful all-you-can-eat Christmas feast where traditionalists and gourmands will find what they’re craving. The carving station will feature Eldorado’s signature twist on classics such as pomegranate infused Frenched turkey, holiday spiced leg of lamb, roasted prime rib of beef, brown sugar brandy glazed ham and apple cider glazed barron of pork. Guests will also find favorites like peel and eat shrimp and chilled snow crab legs plus tasty entrées like the Eldorado’s famous mushroom ravioli with porcini cream sauce, holiday tamales with pecans, rum raisins and pineapple, sumac baked salmon with pomegranate seeds, cranberry glazed pork loin with balsamic drizzle, seafood lasagna, lemon butter steamed clams and butternut squash stuffed shells with maple butter and sage cream. Dessert rounds out the meal with warm bread pudding and fruit cobblers, fresh baked cookies, assorted bite-sized desserts, pastries, cakes, pies and a selection of housemade gelato. Available Christmas Day from 11 a.m. for $42.99 for adults and $20.99 for children ages four to ten. ONE Club Chairman and President members are $37.99, Gold $38.99 and Silver $39.99.
An unforgettable feast awaits at Roxy at the Eldorado with a marvelous three course meal that begins with cream of sunchokes with truffled crostini, king grab and a sunflower sprouts salad. For the main course, a choice of bison prime rib with herb au jus, cauliflower mashed potatoes and rainbow carrots or Roxy bouillabaisse with snapper, black cod, monk fish, red shrimp and bouillabaisse sauce. For dessert, a chocolate cake with mint mousse and raspberry coulis. This complete meal will be available on Christmas day from 5 p.m. for $60 per person. The full Roxy menu will also be available.
Buon Natale from La Strada at the Eldorado – that’s Merry Christmas in Italian! Chef Massimo Riggio treats guests to a merry taste from across the ocean with his own unique menu. The antipasto is a Castelfranco radicchio and white asparagus, hazelnuts, piave cheese and Venetian dressing. For primi piatti – or first dish, which is traditionally a pasta dish, a choice of kabocha squash tortelli with brown butter and black truffle sauce or risotto with burrata, tomato jam and poached lobster. The second piatti is a choice of roasted black cod with roasted eggplant emulsion and tomatoes confit or herb crusted veal tenderloin with roasted winter root vegetables. For dolce, or dessert, choose from pastiera napoletana, ricotta cheesecake, orange sugar dough crumbles or zuppa inglese gelato. For $48 per person this meal will be served on Christmas Day from 5 p.m.
Millies at the Eldorado will have a three course Christmas meal in addition to the daily menu, from 11 a.m. Specials include a choice of pecan glazed ham served with maple sweet mashed potatoes and green beans for $24, smoked stuffed turkey breast with orecchiette pasta and butternut squash for $26 and roast beef tenderloin with cherry port reduction, roasted potatoes and asparagus for $36. Soup or house salad is included as well as choice of and pumpkin, apple or cranberry pie.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House at the Silver Legacy will offer many ways to celebrate with their signature sizzle this holiday season. A three-course meal with endless reasons to gather with family and friends is available starting at $49.95. Starters include choice of potato leek soup, spinach and arugula salad, steak house salad or Caesar salad. Entrées are tailored to taste and include choice of a 6 oz. filet and shrimp, stuffed chicken breast, barbecued shrimp, sesame crusted ahi tuna, filet or ribeye. Side choices are sweet potato au gratin, sautéed kale, garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. For dessert, a decadent praline bread pudding with whiskey sauce and vanilla ice cream.
Café Central and Pearl Oyster Bar at the Silver Legacy will serve an affordable yet gourmet cuisine for $24 plus tax from 11 a.m. at the Café and 3 p.m. at Pearl on Christmas Day. The first course is a choice of butternut squash bisque or seasonal field green salad with dried cranberries, strawberries, tomatoes feta cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. The entrée is roasted leg of lamb with au gratin potatoes, wild berry compote, minted veal demi glaze, honey glazed roasted Brussel sprouts and green beans. For dessert, eggnog cheesecake with hazelnut cream.
After dinner, take the family to see “Santa’s Christmas Wonderland” in the Eldorado Showroom with two special Christmas Day showings at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Considered the most-loved Christmas show of the season, “Santa’s Christmas Wonderland” features glittering costumes, sensational sets, a dazzling cast and the highest kicking chorus dancers this side of the North Pole. Rink at THE ROW, the 9,000-square foot ice skating rink located across from Circus Circus, will also be open on Christmas day starting at 12 p.m. Glide around the ice illuminated by the lights of Downtown Reno or relax by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa.
