Eaton Dunkelberger Joins Downtown Reno Partnership Board of Directors

The Downtown Reno Partnership is pleased to announce the addition of Eaton Dunkelberger to their Board of Directors. Dunkleberger joins the 17-member volunteer board as the non-profit seat.  

“We are excited to welcome Eaton to our Board of Directors,” said Neoma Jardon, DRP Executive Director. “He not only brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our board but also a profound commitment to the betterment of our Downtown Reno community.”  
 
Dunkelberger is the President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. He is also a United State Marine Corps Veteran and served as served as an Infantry Platoon Commander in Iraq in 2003. Dunkleberger earned an MBA at London Business School, BS in Biology from Stanford University, and was a researcher at the Brookings Institute. In his free time, he serves as the volunteer lead for the 6–7-year-old ski program at Sky Tavern, a nonprofit ski and snowboarding learning program. 
 
“I’m excited to be joining the Downtown Reno Partnership and expanding the Community Foundation’s connection to downtown Reno,” Dunkleberger said. We have a shared commitment to a cleaner, safer, more vibrant community for all, which includes addressing issues around homelessness and mental health that are priority areas for the Foundation.” 
 
Prior to serving in his current role, Dunkelberger was the CEO of Sierra Nevada Journeys, was a member of the leadership team for a healthcare IT startup incubated by McKesson Corporation, and started two businesses in Kabul, Afghanistan, providing outsourced recruiting for companies (like Coca Cola Bottling and Serena Hotels) and government agencies (like the UN and US Military) to implement successful Afghan hiring programs.

The Downtown Reno Partnership is a 501c6 nonprofit business improvement district whose core purpose is to make downtown Reno a safer, cleaner, vibrant district for residents and visitors, representing 1,500 property owners in a 110-block radius. The Downtown Reno Partnership is an entity funded by downtown-area property assessments. Those funds pay for operations, street maintenance administered by Reno Public Works, extra downtown Reno Police patrols, Streetplus-administered Ambassadors, marketing and economic development.
