Downtown Reno just works for me. After 20 years of covering it on my blog, Downtown Makeover, I write about downtown Reno because I believe in it. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s worth paying attention to — and worth continuing to invest in.

Reno’s downtown is the perfect size. It’s big enough that there’s always something happening, yet small enough to feel personal. On any given week, you’ll find events, pop-ups, art shows, live music, or something unexpected spilling onto the sidewalk. That energy is real, and you feel it as soon as you’re down there.
