Cargo Concert Hall at Whitney Peak Hotel to re-open to concertgoers in October

Whitney Peak Hotel is about to turn up the volume with the re-opening of its Cargo Concert Hall. The state-of-the-art venue closed during the pandemic for concerts, although continued to utilize the space for limited community and private special events.

“It’s been a minute,” said Mike Young, Production Manager for Cargo. “We wanted to ensure that when we reopened, we did so in the safest way possible for the protection of our employees, our guests, and our artists.”

Cargo has a series of events already lined up, with tickets going on sale on today.  While more events will be announced in the coming weeks, highlights include:

  • Friday, Oct. 8                      Social Distortion

All ticketholders will need to present either a valid vaccination card proving they are fully vaccinated or a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of the show to enter the venue. Additionally, Cargo will require all guests and employees wear face masks while inside the building, regardless of vaccination status.

“We understand that ongoing safety protocols are cumbersome, but we are absolutely committed to the health and safety of everyone involved,” said Niki Gross, Managing Director for Whitney Peak Hotel. “We believe this is the best and safest way for us to responsibly reopen and do our part to limit the further spread of COVID-19.”
