Downtown Reno continues to evolve, and a new report is offering a detailed look at where the district stands today and where it’s headed next.
Nathan Digangi, Economic Development Director for the Downtown Reno Partnership, joined Mornings on FOX 11 Tuesday to discuss the organization’s annual State of Downtown Report. The report examines economic activity, housing, office space, tourism, outdoor recreation, the University of Nevada, Reno, healthcare, startups and other key indicators within a one-mile radius of the Reno Arch.
Digangi said the report is designed to serve as a resource for developers, business owners, investors, residents and community leaders while also acknowledging ongoing challenges, including retail vacancies and underutilized storefronts. He noted that continued residential growth, job diversification and expanded retail options will be key to downtown’s future success.
