“What’s Up Downtown:” Don’t Miss Out on the Ever-Changing Exhibits at the National Automobile Museum

A staple in Reno since 1989, the National Automobile Museum in Downtown Reno has something for everyone – from 240 classic cars, to changing displays featuring actual cars from movies to the largest outdoor patio in Reno which overlooks the Truckee River to a theater and regular & holiday special events, the museum has something for all ages.

“We’ve been referred to as one of the best kept secret and we don’t want to be that anymore,” said Phil MacDougall, Executive Director of the National Automobile Museum. “We have 240 amazing automobiles, a private theater, a 160,000 square foot patio for people in the community to use … we have a lot of fun things here and we want people to know we are here.”

The museum is recognized as one of the 10 Best Automobile Museums in the U.S. by USA Today and has been ranked as the #1 Things to do in Reno by Trip Advisor. In addition to the classic cars and special vehicles on display from movies, the museum also hosts monthly speaker series and special events.

MacDougall raves about the Ambassadors praising their responsiveness as well as their impact in Downtown Reno. Learn more about the museum as our Executive Director Neoma Jardon sat down.
