The Brewery District: A Neighborhood Built to Be Experienced
As the newly formed Board of Directors for the Brewery District in downtown Reno, we’re excited—not just about what this neighborhood already is, but about what it’s becoming. The Brewery District has long been a place people stumble into and instantly fall for. Our goal now is to help shape that energy, tell the district’s story more clearly, and make it easier for both locals and visitors to experience everything this historic area has to offer.
At its core, the Brewery District is designed for a walkable day or night out. This is a neighborhood where you can park once and explore on foot. Within just a few blocks, you’ll find breweries, cocktail bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and art-filled corners that invite you to slow down and look around. There’s no rigid itinerary required here—just wander, follow your curiosity, and let the district unfold naturally.
One of our priorities as a board is to bring more attention to signature events that bundle the fun. The Brewery District shines when people can sample multiple locations in one afternoon, meet the owners behind the businesses, and discover new favorite spots along the way. These district-wide experiences highlight the collaborative spirit that already exists here and create an easy, welcoming entry point for first-time visitors.
Location is another major advantage. The Brewery District has become a natural pre- and post-game hub for Reno Aces games, concerts, and downtown events. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite, enjoy a drink, or meet friends before heading to the ballpark—or to unwind afterward. With walkable routes and quick rideshare access, the district connects seamlessly to the rest of downtown while offering its own distinct vibe.
That vibe is something we’re proud to protect. The Brewery District is casual, creative, and local to its core. This is a homegrown neighborhood filled with independently owned businesses, historic industrial spaces, and a strong DIY spirit. It’s not polished or pretentious, and it’s not trying to be. The charm comes from its authenticity—an atmosphere where everyone is welcome, whether you’re dressed up for a night out or stopping by after work.
At the same time, we recognize that the Brewery District is a brand in progress. Part of our work as a new board is sharpening how the district shows up—online, on the street, and in the minds of visitors. Improved wayfinding, a stronger digital presence, and clearer communication about what’s happening will help people quickly see what’s here, where to go, and how to plan their visit—or jump into the moment spontaneously.
The Brewery District isn’t about one business or one experience. It’s about a collection of people and places working together to create something greater than the sum of its parts. We invite the community to explore, engage, and grow with us. The Brewery District is open, evolving, and ready to be experienced—one walkable block at a time.
