Downtown Reno is gearing up for a busy stretch of summer with food, live music, classic cars and family-friendly entertainment filling the calendar over the next several weeks. Kristen Saibini, Assistant Executive Director and Marketing Manager for the Downtown Reno Partnership, joined ARC Reno Tuesday morning to highlight some of the season’s biggest events. She previewed the 12th annual Biggest Little City Wing Fest, returning July 31 through August 2 with more than 20,000 pounds of chicken wings, free live music, People’s Choice voting, a craft fair and family activities along Virginia Street. Saibini also promoted the 40th anniversary of Hot August Nights, featuring free nightly concerts, classic car cruises and show-and-shines in downtown Reno from July 31 through August 9. Looking ahead, she encouraged viewers to check out Dog Days of Summer at the Pioneer Center August 14-16, a free outdoor performance benefiting the SPCA, along with the return of First Fridays on Fourth beginning August 7 in the Brewery District, featuring free live music and local businesses.
