What’s Up Downtown: The Jesse Provides Relaxing Haven for Business and Leisure Travelers in the Heart of the Brewery District
The Jesse, who opened its doors in 2019, is an independent hotel and bar focused on comfort, approachability, design, and the authentic Nevada experience. Recently Downtown Reno Partnership Executive Director Neoma Jardon was able to tour the historic location with owner Piper Stremmel to see all the amazing offerings The Jesse brings to Downtown Reno and the Brewery District.
“This building is from 1907 so it has a lot of history and has seen a lot,” Stremmel said. “We did quite a bit of renovations to it but the outer shell is the same. It’s a cool space.”
Stremmel is grateful The Jesse is part of the Brewery District and so close to the Downtown core.
“The Brewery District is incredible and full of incredible business owners,” Stremmel said. “It’s a very collaborative community and it’s very cool to be a part of it.”
The DRP Ambassador team have a constant presence on Fourth Street to engage with business owners, pick up trash as well assist those who need assistance connecting with services. Stremmel has noticed the positive impact the Ambassadors make on a daily basis.
“The Ambassadors are incredible,” she said. “We are grateful to them for everything they do and specifically for the response time when we call the hotline – somebody always answers and somebody is always down here very quickly.”
